April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

CASA of Denton County serves more than 500 children annually who have been directly impacted by abuse and neglect. National Child Abuse Prevention Month provides an opportunity to show our unwavering support and spread awareness about child abuse. Together, we can raise community awareness about the effects abuse and neglect can have on a child and what we can all do to help.

Way you can observe Child Abuse Prevention Month:

Wear Blue Friday – Friday, April 5 

Show your support for child abuse and neglect survivors by wearing something blue.

Attend Cocktails for CASA giveback event at Andersons. $1 from every cocktail sold from 5-8 pm will be donated to CASA. 

Attend an Info Session – April 16 & 17 

Attend one of our info sessions in person or over Zoom to learn about becoming a CASA

Attend Kendra Scott Giveback Event – Saturday, April 20 

Shop at Kendra Scott at The Shops at Highland Village on Saturday, April 20, from 12-2 pm or online at kendrascott.com April 20-21, using the code GIVEBACK-FYHZL, and 20% of your purchase will be donated to CASA of Denton County.

Attend a Frisco Roughriders Game – Sunday, April 28 

We are filling an entire section of Riders Field to support CASA! $5 from every $15 ticket purchased using the link below will be donated to CASA of Denton County. If we fill 100 seats, a CASA advocate will get to throw out the first pitch! 

Participate in Blue Sunday – Sunday, April 28

Blue Sunday is a day of prayer for children who have been affected by abuse and the people who work tirelessly to protect them. Any church can participate in Blue Sunday using the Blue Sunday Kit or emailing us at recruiter@casadenton.org to get started.
