CASA of Denton County’s Holiday Program
Each year CASA of Denton County serves over 700 children who have been abused and neglected and are living in foster care. For these children, life is uncertain and full of change – some may not even have the chance to experience the joy of the holidays, which includes receiving gifts.
This year CASA of Denton County invites you to join our 2021 Holiday Giving Program. While we traditionally have asked those in our community to provide gifts for our CASA kids, this year we are asking for you to support the program with the donation of gift cards or a monetary donation, which will be used by our Denton County CASAs to purchase gifts for the children we serve. Our advocate volunteers know their assigned children well and can ensure that their specific holiday wishes are fulfilled. Participants may choose to be matched with specific children or can donate gift cards or cash online to support our effort to make children’s holiday wishes come true.
How You Can Help
- Donate gift cards so our volunteers can choose exactly what their assigned child might want or need. Gift cards to Target, Walmart, or Amazon as well as Visa and MasterCard gift cards in denominations from $25-$100 are preferred. We anticipate that we will need gift cards for approximately 250 children this year with our goal being able to provide $100 to $125 for each child.
- Monetary donations can be made online at casadenton.org/donate. Look for the DONATE NOW button and make sure to select the Holiday Program under the donation category.
Gift cards can be dropped off to Gabriella Lopez at the CASA office, 610 N. Bell Avenue in Denton between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. or you can request a specific time by contacting Gabriella. All gift cards must be delivered no later than December 3, 2021.
