Volunteer Info Session

i am for the child

are you?

Volunteer Info Sessions are designed as a question and answer platform where folks interested in becoming CASAs can learn more about the specifics of what it’s like to be a CASA, general information about our agency, and the application process. Current Advocates, members of the Board and other supporters are also encouraged to bring friends and family members who are interested in learning more. You don’t have to currently be connected to CASA or anyone with CASA to attend an information session. Contact Beth Potter bpotter@casadenton.org  or 940-243-2272 ext 103  to learn more.

The mission of CASA of Denton County, Inc. is to provide trained community volunteers, to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children, and to promote community awareness about child abuse issues. This year CASA of Denton County will serve more than 500 children in foster care, yet there are still children we are unable to reach–we need passionate advocates to speak up for these children.

Info Sessions are the first step in becoming a CASA, and they are also helpful for learning more about our mission. These 1-hour sessions are designed to answer your questions about what it takes to be a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children in foster care and to help you decide if volunteering for CASA is right for you.

Upcoming Info Session Dates are below. They take place at our office, 614 N. Bell Ave., Denton, TX.
